Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Grand Duchy. A 25-Year Military Long Service Cross Newly Listed maker marked on lid liner(Militrdienstkreuz fr 25 Jahre der Unteroffiziere und Soldaten). Instituted 30 April 1841 by Grand Duke Paul Friedrich. (1841 1868 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central monogram of Grand Duke Paul Friedrich, the reverse with Roman numerals XXV (25), the twelve oclock arm with an integral loop connecting to a suspension ring with a period original tri fold ribbon, unmarked, measuring 35. 62 mm (w)
